The Cost of being Socially “Connected”

So, come fall, I’ll be moving back to an apartment complex which has worse management, higher rent, and less living space than my current accommodations. Why on earth would I make such a decision? The plain and simple answer is that this complex I’ll be moving to has A) a more tightly-knit community of college students and more importantly, B) better looking girls.

Here’s how I view it:

I’m paying the same amount of money per month for rent, and then I’m paying an extra $20.00/mnth to be part of a social network and to have better scenery amongst the opposite gender. So maybe it isn’t that crazy after all. Still, the entire process has been an interesting experiment in economics, wherein the marginal benefits of living at The Colony (the place I’ll be come fall) are assigned an exact dollar cost.

Now to find a way to raise the $594.00 for the first and last month’s rent deposit by June 1st… hm. Maybe I should get to work…
